Spaghetti and Meatballs

Spaghetti and Meatballs rock!
For the sauce
- 48oz Crushed Tomatoes
- 4oz Tomato Paste
- 6 Garlic Cloves
- 2 Bay Leaves
- Olive Oil
For the Meatballs
- 2lbs Beef (or mixture of Beef, Pork and Lamb)
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1/2c Rice Krispies (put into ziplock bag and bashed to powder )
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c chopped herbs (basil, savory, etc)
- 2Tbsp Fish Sauce
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375F
For the Sauce
- Heat a pot to medium high, add oil.
- Sautee garlic
- Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste and bay leaves.
- Simmer for awhile, maybe 30 min.
For the Meatballs
- Grind Beef coarse
- Add eggs and scramble with fingers.
- Add remaining ingredients and mix till uniform.
- Use disher to portion, lightly roll into balls.
- Put meatballs onto a foil lined baking sheet and bake for ~30 min or until done.
Notes
- I would recommend grinding the beef yourself using a meat grinder. I just use the attachment for the Kitchen Aid mixer.
