Spaghetti and Meatballs

For the sauce
  1. 48oz Crushed Tomatoes
  2. 4oz Tomato Paste
  3. 6 Garlic Cloves
  4. 2 Bay Leaves
  5. Olive Oil
For the Meatballs
  1. 2lbs Beef (or mixture of Beef, Pork and Lamb)
  2. 6 cloves garlic
  3. 1/2c Rice Krispies (put into ziplock bag and bashed to powder )
  4. 2 eggs
  5. 1/2 c chopped herbs (basil, savory, etc)
  6. 2Tbsp Fish Sauce
  1. Heat oven to 375F
For the Sauce
  1. Heat a pot to medium high, add oil.
  2. Sautee garlic
  3. Add crushed tomatoes and tomato paste and bay leaves.
  4. Simmer for awhile, maybe 30 min.
For the Meatballs
  1. Grind Beef coarse
  2. Add eggs and scramble with fingers.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and mix till uniform.
  4. Use disher to portion, lightly roll into balls.
  5. Put meatballs onto a foil lined baking sheet and bake for ~30 min or until done.
  1. I would recommend grinding the beef yourself using a meat grinder. I just use the attachment for the Kitchen Aid mixer.
